There are several things you can do to sleep better at night:
1.Don’t exercise before bedtime. It’s important to not be hyped up.
2.Read something calming and relaxing that you enjoy.
3.Go to bed sober.
4.Eat early so your don’t have GERT or other night time indigestion problems.
You may need to be on reflux medication before you go to bed, if this is the problem.
5.Warm milk, turkey, cheese, maybe yogurt or fish may help as a snack as they contain the amino acid tryptophan and you may get tired.
6.Go to bed at the same time each night.
7. Turn off the lights.
8.Maybe you need darker curtains or shades.
9.If you are snoring at night, sleep on your side.
10.If you wake up with a headache, you could have sleep apnea. In that case do not sleep on your back.
11.Listen to some soothing music.
