Less Radiation For Breast Cancer In Canada And UK

A lower dose of radiotherapy, delivered in fewer, larger treatments, is safe and effective in treating early breast cancer as an international dose. Countries such as the UK have already implemented this as a new standard of care. Canada is also doing this.

(My opinion: More radiation is not always better. There can be radiation with excessive procedures as well as treatments. We know radiation can cause cancer as well. It is a way to get rid of cancer but it is a double edged sword. Other countries are reducing the rads and number of treatments for various cancers to the breast, prostate cancer, etc.)
