Get up on Saturday,  April 28th, go to Faith Lutheran Church’s Famous Rummage Sale located at 51st and Glenwood Street in Duluth. There will be antiques, books, CD’s, a plant sale, a bake sale, household items, furniture, clothing, children’s items, lunch to purchase such as hot pretzel sticks and so much more. This is an annual rummage sale to help the Church with their expenses. It is from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Then make sure you have your bidder number for the Kiwanis TV Auction, this is a benefit for youth/children’s programs in the region. It funds lots and lots 501-c- non-profits. You can bid on some great things like a hot tub, washer, dryer, fireplace & surround, travel packages, restaurant certificates such as Grandma’s restaurants, Duluth Grill, catering certificates, Dubb Linn Pub and so much more. The double DD’s will be on TV. It will be hosted by our well missed Dennis Anderson and current TV host, Darren Danielson. You will be blown away. So go on line to www.kiwanisduluth.com to get your bidder number early. You can read the ad in the Duluth News Tribune that is a full page donated ad. You can still go about your evening and just call in if you have a bidder number or you can get a bidder number that evening. Kiwanis is a volunteer organization, no one is paid a salary. It operates for the public good of youth and childrens programs.

If you want to listen to a little music, like the Rock-A Billy band, they will be at Leemo’s Northstar (The old Lost Isle located on Hwy. 219 in Carlton). Go to the benefit for Alaina Privette, a teacher who has not worked since last year. There is a spaghetti dinner for purchase, silent auction, and much more. Proceeds are going for Alaina’s expenses since she has been unemployed. Give her support and help. (This is a recommeneded benefit by Circle of Hope members. Her family and friends have worked hard on it.)

Hope you can participate in these activities that make a difference in the lives of others. Kiwanis is for children and youth programming, not salaries. The church sale is for their bills. Alaina’s benefit is for her bills.
