I was reading the Country Register and saw a recipes for “Squirrel Cakes.” It was from a Remington Sportsman’s Wild Game Cookbook. I think the recipeÂ is well laid outÂ from boilingÂ squirrels, cutting the meat up, addingÂ breadcrumbs, onion, catshup and mashed potatoes.
I just love squirrels, and they are my favorite animal to draw. I know two other people who love them as well. Someone I know loves squirrels and chipmunks to crawl on her.
I can’t imagine the day that I will ever eat squirrel cakes. I would become totally vegan before that point in time.
Maybe they would help world hunger as all the deer that are are on the highway when one drives out of town. One here, one there, one over there.
